Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. She was moved to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five years old and attended the Dragon School. Emma always had the desire to be a professional actress when she was just six. She was enrolled at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute which offers classes for part-time students. At the age of 10, she had performed and taken part in many Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel began casting in 1999. Emma was initially discovered as a casting agent by her Oxford teacher of drama. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after 8 auditions. They were selected as the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance on the big screen took place in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, released in 2001. It beat all previous records in terms of opening day and weekend numbers, and was the top-grossing 2001 film. Critics gave high praise to the film, particularly the young performers. The Daily Telegraph, a widely read British newspaper, was awed by her for her performance. Emma later won five awards to honor her role in the film.
