Christopher Robert Evans is an American actor. His career began with television performances, such as Opposite Sext, which he portrayed in 2000. Evans gained fame for his portrayal of his character, the Human Torch Marvel Comics character in the film Fantastic Four, and the sequel Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Evans was featured in a variety of films that adapted comic books and graphic novels, such as TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim and the World vs. the World (2009) and Snowpiercer (2013). His portrayal of Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014 and 2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Endgame 2019, brought him more recognition. He was able to become one of the top-paid actors on the planet because of his work for the Marvel franchise.
