Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress who is best famous for her role in Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. In the late 80s the actress began her acting career, and was well-known for the character Tezaab in which she appeared alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next film was the movie Dil in which she starred alongside Aamir Khan. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she began learning to dancing at a young age. As a teen, she attempted acting, however most of those early films were unsuccessful. However, she eventually achieved success and went on to become one of the most prominent actresses in the Indian film business. Following her wedding, she took some time away from performing prior to returning. In the last few years, Dixit had a major role to play as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Also, she has earned a name for social activism.
